The city of Amsterdam is the capital of Netherlands. Unlike any other busy European capital, Amsterdam is a much peaceful city, speaking about the grotesque history of Nazi Germany, yet looking forward to new brighter tomorrow.

The main attraction of Amsterdam is the House of a young gal called Anne Frank who gained fame posthumously after the publication of her diary where she recounted the horrific days of WW II. Second most important site is the Van Gogh museum which showcases the original paintings by Vincent Van Gogh. Among other museums, The Rijksmuseum and the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art is also noteworthy. Other important places include a tour of the notorious red light district of Amsterdam, The Royal Palace ,a canal boat trip and a trip to the famous coffee and smart shops of Amsterdam.

Amsterdam is famous for its coffee, diamonds and flowers and the first two items always takes a priority in the shopping list of tourists visiting Amsterdam. Other items include beautifully baked pastries and other food items besides the usual items like native artifacts, books or gift items.
